We are proud to announces that our partners, Oceanwide Expeditions has won the World Travel Award 2009 in the category World's Leading Polar Expedition Operator. The presentation of this international prize took place during a spectacular gala performance in London on Sunday 8 November, 2009.It was the second time that this prestigious award was categorized by the World Travel Awards Committee. The first time was in 2005 and Oceanwide Expeditions was also the winner of the contest.
I look forward to many more years of Polar travel to the Arctic and Antarctic with Oceanwide.
You can follow our next New Horizon Expedition to Antarctica here on this blog. We will depart Dublin on January 23rd for Buenos Aires and then on to Ushuaia where we board the M/V Plancius on 26th January and make our way South to the Great White Continent of Antarctica.
